Clinical Supervision

I am a Board Approved Supervisor, accredited to supervise:

  • Provisional psychologists completing 4+2 and 5+1 internship, as a primary or secondary supervisor
  • Counsellors
  • Case Managers

I provide an integrative, strength-based approach to support confidence in supervisees, where supervision is grounded in ethical practice and reflective discussion.I offer a supportive space to explore:

Case Conceptualisation and Treatment Planning

Develop confidence in formulating clear, evidence-informed case conceptualisations that guide effective intervention. Clinical supervision provides a space to integrate assessment findings, identify maintaining factors, consider biopsychosocial influences, and develop collaborative treatment plans that are tailored to each client's unique needs, goals, and presenting concerns.

Ethical Challenges in Practice

Clinical work often involves navigating complex ethical issues that require careful reflection and sound professional judgement. Supervision provides a supportive environment to explore ethical dilemmas, manage professional boundaries, address confidentiality concerns, work through mandatory reporting obligations, and ensure practice aligns with relevant legislation, professional standards, and ethical guidelines.

Working with Trauma, Anxiety, Stress, and Complex Presentations

Gain support in working with clients experiencing a broad range of presentations, including trauma, anxiety disorders, chronic stress, emotional dysregulation, grief, neurodivergence, and co-occurring mental health concerns. Supervision focuses on developing trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches while considering client safety, pacing, therapeutic alliance, and clinician wellbeing.

Professional Growth and Reflective Practice

Supervision is more than case discussion. It provides an opportunity to strengthen your professional identity and develop greater self-awareness as a clinician. Through reflective practice, you'll explore your therapeutic styles, recognise personal and professional blind spots, build confidence in clinical decision-making, and continue growing throughout your career.

Working in the Non-Profit Environment, Including Family Violence and Child Protection

Working in community and non-profit settings often involves supporting clients experiencing significant adversity while navigating complex systems and organisational demands. Drawing on extensive experience in the non-profit sector, supervision with me can help you develop confidence in working with family violence, coercive control, child protection matters, risk assessment, interagency collaboration, advocacy, and trauma-informed service delivery.

Developing Your Therapeutic Skills

Effective therapy relies on more than knowledge of interventions. Importantly, it requires strong therapeutic relationships, flexibility, and clinical judgement. Supervision provides practical guidance to refine your therapeutic skills, strengthen engagement, enhance communication, respond to ruptures in the therapeutic relationship, and adapt evidence-based approaches to meet the individual needs of your clients.

If you are seeking clinical supervision, get in touch to arrange a casual consultation and discuss your professional development goals.
