My Services

I offer psychological services for adults ages 18 and above. My approach is centred around understanding and responding to your unique situation, providing effective and practical solutions to promote mental and emotional wellness.

In addition to individual psychological services, I am also a Board Approved Supervisor and have availabilities for short-term and ongoing clinical supervision whether you are starting an internship, or advancing your therapeutic skills.

My areas of interest are:

Anxiety, Phobias & Panic Attacks

Anxiety is a deeply human emotion that protects by alerting us to possible threats. Problems arise when the mind shifts into overdrive and begins to interpret non-dangerous situations as if they were life-threatening.

I will gently explore factors that trigger and activate these emotional and physical responses with you. As you begin to understand your anxiety more clearly, we will develop strategies to help you stay grounded and connected to your values. My aim is to help you feel more in control to navigate moments of anxiety with greater ease.

Anger Management

Anger is a natural response to experiencing hurt, injustice, or unmet needs. It is a powerful emotion that mobilises us to take action, protect, and restore balance. Problems arise when anger overwhelms our ability to manage situations. It could lead to disconnection and potential negative impact to our overall wellbeing

I will work with you by creating a safe space to understand the roots of your anger, the underlying emotions beneath it, and the stories it carries. We will explore strategies towards developing effective ways to respond to anger, thus improving your wellbeing and your relationships.

Burnout

Burnout can quietly weave its way into your life. It can manifest emotionally, physically and mentally, alongside a growing sense of disconnection from work or personal relationships. You may feel less effective or overwhelmed by the ongoing demands around you. Burnout is not a sign of weakness, but rather a signal to slow down.

Recovering from burnout may take some time. While rest, candles, or a warm bath can soothe in the moment, recovery may involve intentionally resetting boundaries, giving yourself permission to slow down, and choosing habits that genuinely support your wellbeing. My goal is to support you develop strategies towards a more balanced, sustainable way of living.

Complex and Single Incident Trauma

Complex trauma, sometimes called developmental trauma, stems from ongoing, repeated experiences that overwhelm one's sense of safety.

As it occurs over time, and especially during formative years, complex trauma can deeply shape the way someone understands themselves, relates to others, and moves through the world. Unlike single-event trauma, complex trauma has a cumulative impact that informs the core of one’s identity.

Many people experience challenges with emotional regulation, a distorted or uncertain sense of self, difficulties in relationships, patterns of behaviour that are difficult to change, or physical symptoms that do not have an obvious cause. These responses are often adaptations to experiences that were chronically overwhelming.

Understanding complex trauma with compassion is often the first step toward healing. The core of my practice stems from the belief that it possible to unlearn old patterns, reconnect with your inner safety, and begin to build a life that feels grounded, whole, and reflects the true version of yourself.

Depression and Mood Disorders

Depression is part of a wider group of conditions known as mood disorders that can deeply affect emotional balance and overall  wellbeing. While mood disorders can include both intense lows (depressive episodes) and in some forms like bipolar disorder, periods of heightened mood or energy (mania or hypomania), depression itself is marked by a persistent and often heavy sadness.

Common depressive conditions, such as Major Depressive Disorder and Persistent Depressive Disorder may show up as a loss of interest in things that once brought joy, low energy, changes in sleep or appetite, and a sense of emotional numbness or hopelessness.

Research on mood disorders consistently shows that personalised care, often involving the combination of psychotherapy, medication, and supportive lifestyle changes, one can foster long-term recovery.

In our work together, we will explore the deep, persistent patterns of self-criticism or negative self-beliefs that may be perpetuating these symptoms. We will aim towards shifting these patterns by developing a more balanced view of yourself, others, and the world.

Grief and Loss

Grief is a natural human response to significant loss, whether it is  the death of a loved one, a ruptured and irrepairable relationship, a significant life change, or the impact of serious illness. There is no single right way to grieve as each person’s experience is unique. Sadness, anger, numbness, or denial may surface. Physical symptoms like exhaustion, restlessness, or difficulty sleeping are also common.

Grief is not a linear process. My role is to work collaboratively with you as you navigate this difficult phase. My aim is to gently support you toward acknowledging the reality of the loss, creating new meanings, and making room for new connections. We will also explore avoidant patterns that may have once helped you cope but are no longer serving you.

People Affected by Family Violence

Family violence refers to any pattern of behaviours used to exert power and control over another person. These behaviours can take many forms, including emotional or verbal abuse, physical or sexual harm, financial control, psychological manipulation, and other coercive actions that diminish a person’s sense of safety and autonomy.

If you have experienced this, it is important to know that none of it is your fault. These patterns can have deep and lasting impacts, often leaving you feeling disconnected from your sense of agency, worth, and inner strength.

Guided by you, my aim is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your empowered self. We will work collaboratively toward healing, rebuilding safety, and restoring the confidence that have always belonged to you. You deserve support, understanding, and a path forward grounded in respect and compassion.

Women's Mental Health & Wellbeing

Women’s mental health is shaped by a unique combination of biological, historical, cultural, social, and emotional factors. Many women experience higher rates of depression and anxiety, as influenced by factors such as hormonal changes, reproductive health, caregiving pressures, discrimination, violence, and the ongoing challenge of balancing multiple roles. Young women in particular can face especially high levels of stress and emotional strain, underscoring the importance of early support and compassionate care. Often unseen, some of the most common concerns for women include depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorders and perinatal depression (around pregnancy and postpartum).

My approach is to create a safe, nurturing space where your unique experiences are heard and respected. We will can explore the  challenges distinct to women and move toward strengthen your self-belief tools, reconnecting you with a sense of balance and empowerment.
